Description
A delicate dish called Fish Pickle, or Meen Achar, is made with katla fish, a freshwater river fish from Godavari. Normally, we would have heard people saying fish curry or kulambu tastes good the next day rather than the day on which it is made. It is because of the salt and chili getting marinated in it well; on the second day or after instead of the freshly cooked dish of curry. Therefore, it is unnecessary to describe how delicious a fish pickle would be because it is preserved for days at a time and contains probiotics, which assist in restoring the beneficial bacteria that you have lost as a result of taking antibiotics. This is the main reason why most of the Indians take pickles in their daily diet.
